On February 6, Tangshan held a video and telephone conference about comprehensive air pollution control operations deployment. Li Guifu, the vice mayor, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.
Li Guifu emphasized that the city should give prominence to the pollution reduction of industrial enterprises, ensure the enforcement of autumn and winter control measures for key industries such as steel, coking and cement, and emergency response measures for severely polluted weather. Ecology and environment departments should strengthen guidance and supervision, organize enterprises to resume production in an orderly manner, ensure the stable operation of pollution prevention facilities during resumption, and require enterprises that fails to meet environmental protection requirements to resume production only after rectification within a time limit.
