Shanxi plans to reduce its excess coke production capacity by 40.27 million tons in 2020 and build a national green coking industry base, according to a recent energy conference in Shanxi.
By the end of 2017, Shanxi had built a total capacity of 14,487 million tons for coke, including 129.07 million tons of independent coking capacity and 15.8 million tons of supporting coking capacity from steel mills.
According to relevant data, in September 2018, the actual coking capacity in Shanxi reached 147.68 million tons, an increase of 2.8 million tons compared with that of 2017.
