On 25 November, the Industrial Policy Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) organized a work experience exchange meeting on eliminating backward production capacity in some regions in Nanning, Guangxi. The meeting requested that all local related departments should attach great importance to the elimination of backward production capacity and do a good job in the next stage. Firstly, promote the work through the rectification of problems. Secondly, improve the long-term mechanism for the legal withdrawal of backward production capacity. Thirdly, promote the concentration of factors to the advantageous enterprises and force the upgrading and transformation of backward production capacity. Fourthly, strengthen the implementation of industrial policies. Fifthly, actively explore and innovate, and make innovation in ways and methods on the basis of local actual situations.
