India's Ministry of Steel issued a relevant steel scrap recycling policy, requiring all departments to increase the effective use of steel scrap, an increase of 7 million tons
According to the policy data, India currently has about 25 million tons of steel scrap from domestic unorganized industries. India imports 7 million tons of steel scrap per year, costing about INR245 billion (USD3 . 45 billion) . It's expected that the completion of this policy will require the establishment of 70 collection and processing centers.
. The policy stipulates that a steel scrap recycling center will be established throughout India to establish a steel scrap steel environmental management system, which encourages steel scrap processing and recycling, minimizes dependence on imported steel scrap and achieves self-sufficiency.
