MEE releases list of supervision to crack down solid waste environmental violations

Recently, Ministry of Ecology and Environment (MEE) released Notice for Supervision on Key Issues Discovered in the Special Campaign to Crack down Solid Waste Environmental Violations in 2019.
According to the notice, MEE asked related units to conduct the following tasks. The first is to make rectifications in limited time. Related units should organize to clear up heaped solid waste and prevent and control environmental risks. All clearance and rectification should be completed in late November of 2019. For problems such as the volume of heaped solid waste is very large or it is difficult to clear up the solid waste, related units should make a rectification plan in late October of 2019 and submit to MEE. The second is to make origin investigation. Related units should judge the nature of solid waste and find out the origin as soon as possible. The third is to make penalties. Related units should penalize the environmental violations of enterprises. The fourth is information disclosure. Related units should expose information such as the list of supervision, requirements of supervision and the progress of rectification till the completion of rectification.
