China announces 13th batch of copper scrap import quota for 2019

The 13th batch of import quota of solid waste for 2019 was released by China Solid Waste and Chemicals Management on October 17, 2019
This is the fifth batch of import quota issued after July 1 when the new import policy took effect and is also the first batch of quota issued for the fourth quarter, but the quota decreased sharply, just 24% of the first batch issued for the third quarter. The first four batches of quota after July 1 was 240,429t, 124,450t, 87,680t, and 31,658t respectively . So far, the first five batches of quota totaled 541,582t of copper scrap, equivalent to about 433,266t of copper.
. This batch of quota includes 57,365t of copper scrap, equivalent to 45,892t of copper (by the grade of 80%) .
