On October 9, 2019, the competent Customs authorities in Taiwan issued a circular announcing that, in view of the public economic interests, they decided to suspend the five-year anti-dumping and countervailing duties imposed on hot-rolled flat steel in mainland China from October 9. The tax numbers of the products involved are 721911, 721912, 721913, 721914, 721921, 721922, 721923, 721924, 722011 and 722012.
On April 16, 2018, Taiwan launched an anti-dumping and countervailing investigation on the imported hot-rolled flat steel from mainland China. On July 12, 2019, Taiwan made a final anti-dumping and countervailing ruling on hot-rolled flat steel in mainland China.
