In terms of regions, except for mainland China, which grew by about 8.5% YOY to 14 . 354 million tons, output in other major regions experienced different degrees of decline YOY . Stainless steel crude steel output in Europe fell by 4 . 9% to 3 . 742 million tons YOY; that in the United States fell by 6 . 4% to 1 . 35 million tons YOY; that in Asian regions (excluding mainland China, South Korea, and Indonesia) which mainly include Japan, India, and Taiwan China fell by 6 . 4% to 3 . 902 million tons YOY; that in other regions (Brazil, Russia, South Africa, South Korea, and Indonesia) fell by 3 . 4% to 2 . 771 million tons YOY.
