MEE holds national EIA and pollution discharge permit information connection pilot work promotion meeting

On 10 September, Ministry of Ecology and Environment (MEE) held the national EIA and pollution discharge permit information connection pilot work promotion meeting in Dalian, attended by leaders from ecology and environment authorities of Liaoning, Hebei, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Hainan, Yunnan, Qinghai and Guizhou.

In order to implement the State Council's requirements on constructing the "internet plus government services" system and "internet plus supervision" system and deepen the reform of streamlining administration, delegating powers, improving regulation and strengthening services, MEE developed the "national construction projects EIA unified declaration and approval system" this May to unify the online declaration and approval process of construction projects and realized online handling of the whole EIA declaration and approval process. In future, the system will be connected to pollution discharge permit system to realize smooth transition of stationary pollution source information from EIA to pollution discharge permit and provide accurate and authoritative evidence for approved pollution discharge permit and supervision during and after the process.
