ACREI: To develop rare earth application industry and expand domestic market

On 5 August, Association of China Rare Earth Industry (ACREI) held a meeting, reviewing and grasping the important instructions made by President Xi on 20 May when he inspected rare earth industry in Ganzhou, Jiangxi.
During the meeting, ACREI stated that it will put more emphasis on independent innovation, effectively integrate and use various resources, boost industry-university-research-application integrated innovation, make achievements in key core technologies and promote advanced practical technology popularization and achievement transformation. It will keep adjusting and optimizing rare earth industry structure and product mix, convert China's advantages in rare earth resources into development and economic advantages by developing rare earth terminal and high-end application industry and resolutely support China's positive reactions and countermeasures against U.S. decision on imposing additional tariffs on Chinese goods. It requires rare earth enterprises to take initiatives scientifically in foreign trade, positively develop overseas market and further expand domestic market.
