Nanshan Aluminum plans to build lightweight aluminum plate and strip technical transformation project

Nanshan Aluminum announced on the evening of August 6 that the Board of Directors has deliberated and approved the proposal for the technical transformation project of the production line of lightweight aluminum plate and strip for automobiles. The total investment of the project is 1.564 billion yuan (about 222 million US dollars), of which 1.46 billion yuan (about 207 million US dollars) is for construction and 104 million yuan (about 148 million US dollars) is for liquidity. All the funds needed for the project will be raised by the enterprise itself.
The announcement discloses that the construction period of the project is expected to be 24 months. The proposed site is located in the super large plant area of the high performance special aluminum alloy project with an annual output of 200,000t. The project adopts advanced plate shape control technology, introduces six sets of imported equipment, such as 2500mm cold rolling mill, and purchases 10 sets of Chinese origin equipment, such as external grinding machine. After completion, 100,000t of lightweight aluminum plate and strip will be added annually.
