Shanshan Technology: Baotou-based Li-ion battery anode material production base goes into formal operation

On the morning of August 3, Shanshan Technology staged an operation-inauguration ceremony for its Baotou-based 100,000tpa battery material production base, the world's largest Li-ion battery anode material production base.
The project went into construction in April 2018 and was built completely after fifteen months. It is designated for production of anode materials used in power car and energy storage industries. The project has a total investment of RMB3.8 billion (USD540 million), a total land area of 980 Mu and a total construction area of 330,000m2. When it goes into operation, it will have an annual production capacity of 60,000t of graphite anode material and 40,000t of carbon-coated anode material, as well as a 50,000tpa graphite processing capacity. It will have an estimated annual production value of RMB5 billion (USD710 million) and a taxation of RMB400 million (USD56.79 million) for Baotou.
