1. Market Highlights
Due to the restriction on the mining of domestic bauxite, some alumina producers tended to try the imported one, but the content of gallium metal 99.99%min in imported bauxite is low. Thus, producers predicted that the production of gallium metal 99.99%min will reduce slowly in H2 2019. In the high temperature from July to August, the decreasing adsorption capacity of the resin will further lead to a decrease in gallium metal 99.99%min production, so producers insisted on raising prices in June. However, downstream consumers were reluctant to purchase due to limited orders they received. Thus, the spot market remained inactive, and purchasers waited on the sidelines. Mainstream prices for Chinese gallium metal 99.99%min are expected to be stable in June. Insiders predicted Chinese gallium metal 99.99%min prices would edge up first and then keep stable in July.
