Kunming Iron & Steel to build a steel mill with entire procedures and annual production capacity of 4 million in Myanmar

On June 13, Dianchi International Exhibition Center in Kunming saw the signing ceremony for cooperation projects in economic and trading fields of the investment and trade fair i.e. exhibition for commodities from South Asia and Southeast Asia in 2019. In the ceremony, Yunnan Yongle Overseas Investment Co. Ltd. signed a cooperative agreement with MSA Company.
According to the cooperative agreement, the two parties will build a China-Myanmar international project in capacity cooperation for iron and steel. The project is planned to build a steel mill with entire procedures and annual production capacity of 4 million (2 million per year in phase one and another 2 million per year in phase two) and mainly includes production lines like sintering, coking, iron-making, steel-making, oxygen-making, HRC, rod products, wire products and profile products.
