Huayou Cobalt intends to acquire 99% shares of Huahai New Energy

Huayou Cobalt announced on May 30 that New Energy Quzhou, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Huayou Cobalt, intended to buy 99.01% shares of Huahai New Energy held by Huahai Fund for RMB773 million (USD112 million). After the acquisition, New Energy Quzhou will hold 100% shares of Huahai New Energy. Huahai New Energy is mainly responsible for the construction and operation of new energy lithium-battery NCM precursor project. Huahai New Energy is a new energy lithium-battery NCM precursor project cultivated by investment of industry fund, and is an important measure for the company to transform and upgrade to the new energy lithium-battery materials industry.
