USITC makes final determination on second sunset review of industrial damage caused by China's circular welded carbon steelpipe

On May 29, 2019, the U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC) made a final affirmative judgment on the industrial damage caused by the second sunset review of anti-dumping and countervailing measures against imported circular welded carbon steel pipes from China. Within a reasonable and predictable period, if the anti-dumping duties of the products involved were abolished, the substantial damage caused by the imports of the products involved to the domestic industries of the United States would continue or recur. In this ruling, all four members voted in the affirmative. Based on the above positive findings, the current anti-dumping and countervailing measures for circular welded carbon steel pipe will continue to be effective.

On October 2, 2013, the U.S. Department of Commerce issued a final review ruling on the rapid sunset of anti-dumping and countervailing measures against imports of circular welded carbon steel pipes from China. On November 1, 2018, the United States filed a second anti-dumping and countervailing rapid sunset review investigation on imported circular welded carbon steel pipes from China. On March 25, 2019, the U.S. Department of Commerce made the second anti-subsidy rapid sunset review final ruling on the import of circular welded carbon steel pipes from China. On April 16, 2019, the U.S. Department of Commerce issued the second anti-dumping fast sunset review final ruling on circular welded carbon steel pipes imported from China.
