PMI of Chinese iron and steel industry records 50.6% in May

According to the index report issued by CFLP Steel Logistics Professional Committee, PMI of iron and steel industry recorded 50.6% in May, down by 1.1% from April.
In the main sub-indexes, the production index, purchasing volume index and inventory index of raw materials increased slightly, and the purchasing price index increased significantly, while the new order index, new export order index and inventory index of finished products decreased. These indexes show that the output of iron and steel increased in May, order growth slowed down, iron and steel enterprises stepped up selling, and the steel market entered a state of adjustment.
