(Commerce) initiated an anti-dumping duty (AD) investigation on carbon and alloy steel threaded rod (the goods) imported from Mainland and Taiwan of China, India and Thailand and a countervailing duty (CVD) investigation on the goods imported from Mainland of China and India in response to the application lodged by the U . S . company Vulcan Threaded Products Inc . on February 21, 2019 . The goods were under HTSUS codes 7318 . 15 . 5051, 7318 . 15 . 5056, 7318 . 15 . 5090, 7318 . 15 . 2095 and 7318 . 19 . 0000 . The USITC will announce the preliminary determination of industry injury no later than April 8, 2019 . If the preliminary determination shows that imports of the goods do cause material injury or threat to the industry of the U . S . , the Commerce will continue abovementioned investigations, and issue the preliminary determination of CVD on May 17, 2019 and the preliminary determination of AD on July 31, 2019.
