Luoyang Heungkong Wanji Aluminum Co., Ltd. successfully imported the first shipment of 200,000-ton Guinean bauxite which was delivered to Lianyungang port on March 3, which meant that companies in Luoyang and Midwest China positively responded to the Belt and Road Initiative of China and a new leap was achieved in opening up the Sino-African import and export channel.
Taking the opportunity of sharply increased demand for alumina in the Chinese domestic market, Heungkong Wanji Aluminum Co., Ltd. succeeded in entering into the Guinean market. It plans to import 3 million tons of bauxite via Lianyungang port in 2019.
