Indonesia Jinchuan lateritic nickel ore project achieves progress

It is reported that No.3 boiler of Indonesia Jinchuan lateritic nickel ore project ("the Project") contracted by China Energy Engineering Group Northwest Power Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. was successfully ignited on January 18th in Indonesia, reflecting a dramatic breakthrough of the Project.
The Project is a key one of international production capacity cooperation between China and Indonesia determined by the National Development and Reform Commission. With a planned investment of 658 million us dollars, the Project adopts the advanced technology of "rotary kiln pre-reduction-electric furnace smelting", which is fully-sealed, energy saving and environmental protection. In addition, the Project consists of wharf, oil depot, power plant and ferronickel smelter and will process 1.7 million tons of nickel ore and produce 200,000t of ferronickel per year.
