In early December, prices for Chinese antimony ingot 99.65%min and 99.85%min generally kept stable supported by firm prices for antimony concentrate. In mid-December, the release of the "positive signal" in international market boosted market players' confidence to some degree and major producers raised prices slightly with transactions closed. Mainstream prices for antimony ingot 99.65%min and 99.85%min increased to RMB49,300-50,300/t (USD7,302-7,450/t) and RMB49,800-50,800/t (USD7,376-7,524/t) EXW D/P respectively. In late December, as some consumers replenished stocks at the year's end, prices for these two materials inched up again to RMB49,400-50,400/t (USD7,317-7,465/t) and RMB49,900-50,900/t (USD7,391-7,539/t0 respectively. In addition, as the demand from downstream markets was weak, producers of antimony trioxide slightly reduced sales prices for antimony trioxide 99.5%min and 99.8%min stood at RMB43,300-44,300/t (USD6,413-6,561/t) and RMB45,300-46,300/t (USD6,709-6,857/t) delivered D/A respectively to clear inventory and recoup fund. With the year end coming, mainstream prices for those two materials further dropped by RMB500/t (USD74.05/t) to RMB42,800-43,800/t (USD6,339-6,487/t) and RMB44,800-45,800/t (USD6,635-6,783/t) delivered D/A respectively.
Affected by the Christmas holiday in December, export prices for Chinese antimony ingot and antimony trioxide went down again in the month. Besides, overseas customers sent few enquiries, leading to scarce transactions in the export market.
