Minmetals puts National New Energy Material Industrial Base Phase Ⅰ into operation

It's reported that China Minmetals' National New Material Energy Material Industrial Base (Phase Ⅰ) was formally put into operation on December 28th.
Minmetals' National New Material Energy Material Industrial Base project, which was settled down in Wangcheng, Changsha in May 2017, is invested by Hunan Changyuan Lico Co., Ltd . with a planned total investment of RMB11 billion . The construction of the project is divided into two phases and it's expected the annual output value and annual tax of the project would reach over RMB20 billion and RMB1 billion respectively after the project is put into full operation . The phase Ⅰ project, which has a total investment of RMB3 billion and represents an annual production capacity of 20,000t of lithium battery cathode materials used in vehicles and 10,000t of NCM precursor, is expected to realize an annual output value of RMB8 billion and an annual tax of more than RMB400 million after being put into operation.
The Deputy General Manager of China Minmetals Group noted that they will launch the phase Ⅱ project in the next step, striving to realize the annual production capacity of over 120,000t of cathode material by 2022.
