Recently, Tianjin Customs found that a batch of bulk manganese ore imported from Malaysia was short of weight as the actual weight was 236.7t less than that noted on the B/L with the rate standing at 23
Considering such situation, Tianjin Customs issued weight certificates to consignees in a timely manner for compensation claim and reminded Chinese consignees to safeguard legitimate rights and interests by maintaining final acceptance rights upon arrival and rights for compensation and using certificates issued by Customs in ports of destination as the evidence for settlement.
