30 new energy vehicle plants required to halt production by MIIT

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Equipment Industrial Development Center released a notice on the list of new energy vehicle manufacturers (the first batch) to be reported to the higher body. According to the notice, a total of 30 companies, including Brilliance Auto, Hafei Motor Co., and Guangqi Honda Automobile Company are likely to be forced to halt production of new energy vehicles for at least one year.
According to the related rules, the Equipment Industrial Development Center teased the enterprises that obtained qualifications mentioned in the notice to produce new energy vehicles before July 1, 2017, will be forced to halt production for 12 months. At the same time, the MIIT will be informed of the list.
The notice also noted that the list to be reported (the first batch) is now made public, and all circles of the society are invited to supervise. If there is any objection, the written opinions can be submitted to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Equipment Industrial Development Center during the publishing dates of 3 to 9 September, 2018.
