With construction starting on 26 May, 2017 and lasting for 15 months, the project consists of a water treatment program for the whole plant with industrial wastewater processing capacity of 450m3/h and rainwater processing capacity of 2000m3/h for the production capacity of 3.5mt of iron and steel, a blast furnace slag treatment project with annual processing capacity of 1 . 2mt and a steel slag treatment project with annual processing capacity of 400,000t.
. 5mt iron & steel energy conservation and environmental protection project (hereinafter referred to as Kuantan Project) of Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial park, constructed by MCC affiliated company, saw satisfactory results from pilot production of ground slag production line, the last process, representing Guantan Project was completely put into operation.
