China Customs seizes 3,000t of smuggled antimony

It's reported that Changsha Customs, together with Nanning Customs, Guangzhou Customs and Beijing Customs conducted a campaign to fight against smuggled antimony on the morning of August 8th under the unified deployment of China Customs.
Under the cooperation of Anti-smuggling Bureau of Nanjing Customs, public security departments in Loudi and Huaihua of Hunan and other related departments, over 90 policemen were dispatched to Changsha, Lengshuijiang, Shenzhen, Huaihua, Shaoyang and other regions in 12 groups. 11 suspects and three organized groups of criminals smuggling antimony ingot via the border between China and Vietnam were seized during the campaign with antimony ingot exports of over 3,000t valued RMB182 million investigated preliminarily.
It's investigated that related suspects purchased antimony ingot from Hunan, Yunnan and other regions of China based on export contracts signed with foreign businessmen, transported the material to Nanning, smuggled them to Haiphong of Vietnam and finally transported them to USA, South Korea, India, Taiwan and other countries and regions from 2014.
