The US dollar index remained high at 94-95 in June and once reached up to 95.53. Exchange rate between offshore Renminbi and US dollar kept decling and fell below 6.6. LME copper inventory decreased in the month and China's copper inventory was also on the decline. LME copper price hit high levels before dropping and fluctuated between USD6,644/t and USD7,266/t. Same thing happened in Chinese market where copper price reached up to RMB54,000/t (USD8,062/t) and dropped to around RMB51,000/t (USD7,614/t) in late June.
