1. Market Highlights
Prices for steel plate continued to increase nationwide during the month, mainly boosted by prices increases of raw materials as well as the overall low stockpile. Meanwhile, most mills were producing actively stimulated by considerable profits, and thus traders were worried about a price decline seeing the increased supply but the poor sales performance. Believing prices were unreasonably high, end users refused to place large orders and only purchased according to urgent needs. In the meantime, the downstream demand was not too strong not too weak. Insiders foresee a slight price falling back next month.
