1. Market Highlights
In the domestic market, prices for Chinese silicon metal showed a downward trend on the whole due to the weak demand in the first half of April, and then kept firm until late the month supported by the tight supply as aluminum alloy plants and traders made purchases largely with orders to be delivered. While export market was quiet as overseas buyers were in no hurry to build stocks in with the pessimistic attitude towards the market outlook in the coming water season and stocks in hand.
