From the 2018 scrap supplier annual meeting recently held by Shagang Group, it was learned that Shagang's demand for steel scrap in 2018 will exceed 7 million tons.
In 2017, Shagang Group completed the purchase of 5.72 million tons of domestic steel scrap, an increase of 3.31 million tons compared with 2016, effectively guaranteeing Shagang's annual production and management goals. Shagang expects that the demand for high-strength steels and special steels will usher in the peak of development in the future, and that compliant steel companies will face new development opportunities.
