1. Market Highlights
Influenced by the slow demand release from downstream industries after the Chinese New Year, prices of CRC and HGI coil in Chinese leading markets were generally on the downward trend in March. Those of CRC witnessed a markdown of RMB350-400/t (USD56-64/t), while those of HGI coil dropped less, supported by fewer stocks in some major markets. As the traditional low season for CRC and HGI coil consumption comes, it is difficult for markets to become warm with weak demand. Insiders predict that prices of CRC and HGI coil are likely to fall slightly in April.
