Mexico makes negative final determination on AD for graphite electrode from China

On September 1, 2010, Mexico Secretary of Economy initiated AD investigation on graphite electrode from China according to the application lodged by the local company, GrafTech Mexico, S.A . de C . V . , and made positive final determination on the product with the anti-dumping duty of 38%~250% . On April 3, 2013, Mexico amended the anti-dumping duty imposed on some Chinese exporters . On September 1, 2015, the country made the final anti-circumvention determination, and decided to extend anti-dumping measures which were imposed on Chinese-origin graphite electrode to the product produced by UK Carbon and Graphite Co . , Ltd . On February 21, 2017, Mexico decided to initiate sunset reviews of anti-dumping on the material generating in China and UK for the first time based on the application lodged by the local company GrafTech Mexico, S . A . de C . V . on December 16, 2016 . The period of the investigation was from January 1 to December 31, 2016, and the period of analysis was from January 1, 2012 to December 31, 2016.

If anti-dumping measures imposed on the products involved in the investigation were eliminated, the dumping injury for Mexico industry would not go on further or happen again .
