US conducts AD investigation on South Africa steel wire rod imports

According to the report, the United States Department of Commerce announced the final determination of the anti-dumping duty on imported carbon steel and alloy steel wire rods from South Africa and Ukraine last week, and it will publish the terminal decision of injury before February 22nd, 2018.
The United States decided to levy the anti-dumping duty rate of 142.26% for ArcelorMittal South Africa, Scaw Metals Group and Consolidated Wire Industries Ltd . Other South African manufacturers and exporters will be imposed the anti-dumping rate of 135 . 46%.
The Steel and Engineering Industries Federation of Southern Africa (SEIFSA) explained that South Africa mills' production was likely to be reduced because the United States Department of Commerce judged the investigation on imported steel wire rods.
