In November, prices for ferrosilicon went up slightly supported by steel mills' strong demand. By the end of the month, prices for ferrosilicon stood RMB400/t higher than that at the end of last month. Because Zhongwei city of Ningxia province would stop production during the whole January caused by environment inspection, industry insiders forecasted that the price will go up by a large increase in December.
In November, affected by the trend of factory prices, export prices for Chinese ferrosilicon increased. As to the end of the month, export prices moved up by USD85/t from the end of last month. Industry insiders predicted that in December the export price for ferrosilicon would go up following the factory prices.
