CRC and HGI coil prices in major markets of China witnessed a downward trend during this month because of lower raw material costs and weak demand from customers. Domestic steel mills like Baosteel, WISCO, Ansteel and Bengang Steel all increased their list prices for October production greatly. Nevertheless, customers without urgent need for materials were just taking a cautious attitude and refusing to place orders. Traders were not confident of the market outlook and refused to build large stockpiles. Insiders do not expect the market to improve in the coming month.
