Meijin Energy expects to see net profit up by 119% in the first three quarters of 2017

On October 10, Shanxi Meijin Energy disclosed the performance report for the first three quarters, predicting that they will make RMB800-900 million of net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies, up by 119.46%-146.89% compared with the same period of last year; basic earnings per share will reach about RMB0.19-0.22.
The company claimed that the significantly improved performance during the reporting period can be mainly attributed to the steady economy during the first three quarters, which continued the positive trend in H1; prices for coking coal and coke, the company’s major products, all surged and sales of coke increased compared with the previous year.
