Baotou Steel sees further increase in finished steel output in August

Baotou Steel produced around 1.21 million tons of commercial billet materials in August, 128,000t higher than planned.
In August, iron making plant of rare-earth steel produced 535,800t of iron, higher 200t than planned and 352,100t of pelletizing which reached the highest output volume after the operation of new belt machine. Coking plant produced 417,500t of coke which was more than 5,200t as planned, creating the historical summit; Qinghua Branch of Baogang Group completed the output volume of 183,900t with the over production of 5,200t as planned, which contributed to the steady production of blast furnaces and decreased procurement for coke from other regions. Barun Branch actively organized the output increase of self-produced iron concentrate and major dressing plants which produced 286,000t of iron concentrate in August 22,500t higher than planned.
In August, board mill of rare-earth steel finished the output volume of 150,700t, 84,400t and 54,800t produced by rolling acid, continuous departure line and galvanizing line, 7,200t, 4,400t and 14,800t higher than planned respectively and created the best level in history.
In August, marketing company, international trading company and plants conducted non-planned product clearance with sale volumes of 54,600t for those by using the opportunity of higher steel material prices. Production department achieved good result of decreased billet material stocks based on the molten iron resource situation of company with declining stocks of about 1,500t for billet slab inventory.
