HR strip prices in major markets of China went up further during this month mainly supported by higher raw material costs and increase in steel mills’ list prices. However, as demand from downstream customers remained weak amid the traditionally low season, the market sales performance did not become better. Traders were reluctant to build large stockpiles to avoid risks. Insiders think the market will remain quiet in the coming month.
