CRC and HGI coil prices in most Chinese leading markets generally climbed up by RMB200-300/t (USD30-45/t) this month, supported by raw materials’ price rise and the prosperity in the futures market. Steel mills showed more optimism for the coming market and further lifted ex-works prices seeing market prices go on increasing. However, the support for another price rise from downstream demand was not strong in the traditional low season. Insiders predict prices for CRC and HGI coil are likely to fall back slightly in the coming month.
