Major rare earth products output up in first five months in Rare Earth Hi-tech Zone of Baotou

Total industrial output value reached RMB4.655 billion from Jan to May 2017 from 26 rare earth enterprises in Rare Earth Hi-tech Zone above designated size, up by 33.78% YOY, and the fixed asset investment was RMB1.77 billion, up by 3.6% YOY.
With major rare earth products increasing, the output of rare earth compound and rare earth metal were 18,050t and 3,706t respectively, up by 73% and 14.8% YOY separately. As of rare earth new materials, the output of rare earth permanent magnet materials stood at 5,489t, up by 83.2% YOY; that of downstream product was 363t, up by 131.5% YOY; that of rare earth permanent magnet alloy was 4,244t, up by 314.1% YOY; that of rare earth hydrogen storage materials was 1,219t, up by 93% YOY. The accumulative total industrial output value reached RMB0.5 billion from only 8 rare earth enterprises in this Zone above designated size with the fixed asset investment reaching RMB0.66 billion, realizing more than RMB42 million of taxes.
