During May, prices for Chinese selenium powder and selenium dioxide kept a downward trend on the whole. As the manganese plants in Hunan and Guizhou were out of production, demand for selenium dioxide was sluggish, and suppliers kept reducing quotations to conclude deals; as a result, prices for Chinese selenium powder dropped successively, and traders and end consumers were cautious about making purchases. The Chinese tellurium metal market saw little changes, with prices keeping stable and downstream consumers purchasing from hand to mouth.
