During May, prices for Chinese ferromolybdenum dropped rapidly affected by tender prices from steel mills, causing continuously decreasing prices for molybdenum concentrate. As prices for raw materials moved down, those for molybdenum chemicals declined accordingly such as sodium molybdate and ammonium tetramolybdate, with those for molybdenum products keeping flat. Consumers only purchased from hand to mouth, and the molybdenum market saw sluggish transactions.
