Prices of both non-grain oriented electrical steel and grain oriented electrical steel in major markets of China went down further during this month on weak customer demand and decrease in steel mills’ list prices. As it was the traditionally low season and prices decreased continuously, downstream customers without urgent need for materials refused to place orders. Having no confidence in the market outlook, traders were reluctant to build large stockpiles. Insiders do not expect the market to improve in the coming month.
