HR strip prices in major markets of China saw an upward trend during this month mainly supported by higher raw material costs and increase in steel mills’ list prices. Nevertheless, as demand from customers remained weak, the market sales performance continued to be poor. Some HR strip producers were out of production due to the environmental protection inspection. Insiders do not expect the price to go up further in the coming month.
