Johnson Controls' battery project settles in Jiyuan

On May 2, Jiyuan Public Resources Trading Center held an auction of state-owned construction land use rights and Johnson Controls finally got the use right of the 200 acres of land in Yuchuan Industrial Park for its battery project.
Johnson Control plans to invest USD200 million in phase I of the new battery project with an annual output of 6 million start-stop batteries for car. The project can achieve an annual output value of about RMB1 . 8 billion with taxes of around RMB100 million per year after completion . The battery output of the project is expected to be expanded to 9-12 million in the future.
American Johnson Control, which plans to build the battery project with an annual output of 30 million batteries in China, has built two production bases in Changxing, Zhejiang and Chongqing with combined capacity of 16 million per year.
