During February, the Chinese manganese flake market did not return to normal trading status in the first half of the month, affected by the Spring Festival holiday, and prices remained basically unchanged
. During the second half, as Chinese steel mills continued to postpone their purchasing plans while those who did not cut their purchase volumes too, stocks held by manganese flake producers piled up gradually, leading to difficulties in selling, and prices then began to move on with a downward trend . Both domestic and overseas traders adopted a watchful attitude toward the manganese flake market, making little purchases and thereby driving prices to hold at a low level at the month end . It was expected that manganese flake prices will continue to drop in March.
