Known from Sichuan Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, Yibin office accepted an inspection for a batch of chrome ore from Albania lately and the total import volume of chrome ore at Yibin port topped ten thousand tons.
There are many plants producing high carbon ferrochrome in Yibin and Southwest Sichan nearby. Compared with big coastal ports, delivery of chrome ore at Yibin has the following advantages: low operating cost, short land transportation distance, which can not only improve the running efficiency of raw materials, but also lower the economic cost. After processing the imported chrome ores, Yibin port can act as a delivery place for HC ferrochrome producers in South Sichuan and surrounding places, forming a closing transportation cycle and further lowering the transportation cost.
