    During September, prices for Chinese ferrosilicon moved all the way up.Asian Metal Copyright4t from early the month.Asian Metal Copyright Reasons behind it included rising prices for raw material, increased road freights and tight spot supply as well as increasing operation costs of producers. By the end of September, ferrosilicon prices rose on the whole by RMB400/t (USD59.4/t) from early the month.

    During September, export prices for Chinese ferrosilicon remained stable, but transactions were dull affected by continuously rising prices in the domestic market as well as competitively lower prices for Russian ferrosilicon. Meanwhile, as China strove to crack down cross-border smuggling between China and Vietnam, smuggling became increasingly difficult.
