During August, the Chinese spot market for manganese flake continued to be tense with prices rising consistently. Market participants expected that such a trend will be hard to change in September. As most manganese producers were confident about the future market, manganese flake prices were expected to rise further slightly in early September; while in mid-to-late September, with more spot supply available in the market, prices were expected to remain stable.
