During August, germanium concentrate supply shrank due to central environmental protection inspections with germanium metal prices having hit the production cost previously. Therefore, germanium metal prices stopped sliding and managed to stabilize. Consumers also revealed that purchase prices for germanium metal were at a historically low level, so they intended to sign long-term contracts with suppliers, considering the limited demand.
